Isabelle Cowan is a performer born, raised, and now based in the Chicagoland area! She is soon-to-be graduate of Northwestern University, where she studied Theatre, Gender Studies, and Human Communication Sciences. A classically-trained soprano with a comprehensive background in musical theatre, Isabelle enjoys exercising her dynamic vocal range across various musical styles. 

During her time at Northwestern, Isabelle performed multiple productions, and served as Executive Director of Purple Crayon Players, a student-run theatre company specializing in Theatre for Young Audience. She is passionate about creating theatre that expands young people’s horizons and worldviews. Isabelle is also drawn to work that centers queer and feminist stories. Beyond performing, Isabelle runs a private voice studio where she specializes in working with adolescents and college students. She firmly believes that the arts can make a positive difference in people’s lives and hopes to instill confidence in her students through her teaching.

Whether she is onstage performing or offstage teaching, Isabelle is proud to be part of the artistic community and is excited about sharing its impact with others.
